Nous avons passé deux jours à découvrir le parc de Garden of the Gods. Cette roche rouge sculptée par le vent offre des formes et des couleurs bien particulières et les Rocheuses en arrière-plan ajoutent à ce paysage un brin de nouveauté. Avant de prendre la route pour Denver, nous décidons de conduire dans ce parc une dernière fois au lever du soleil. La lumière est magnifique et nous nous réveillons encore une fois les yeux pétillants.
Nous sommes restés deux jours à Denver pour le travail de Dave. Nous avons passé une soirée avec Jen, une amie de Dave, et son petit-ami. Nous avons goûté à l’herbe locale et nous avons mangé de la pizza.
Sur la route pour Steamboat Springs, nous nous arrêtons à Dillon Dam Brewery pour déjeuner avec un ami de Dave, Brent. (Siouxsie a donné son maximum : nous avons pratiquement roulé à 60km/h avec les feux de détresses de Denver jusqu’à Frisco). Les routes sont plus belles les unes que les autres. A la fin, nous nous retrouvons au milieu de très grands espaces recouverts de neige et nous laissons la magie du voyage opérer.

We spent two days exploring the park at Garden of the Gods. The red rock carved by the wind offers very special shapes and colors. Also, the Rocky Mountains in the background add to this landscape a bit of novelty. Before taking the road to Denver, we decided to drive in the park one last time with the sunrise. The light was beautiful and we woke up once again with sparkling eyes.
We stayed two days in Denver for Dave's work. We spent an evening with Jen, a friend of Dave, and her boyfriend. We tasted the local "grass" and ate pizza.
On the way to Steamboat Springs, we stopped at Dillon Dam Brewery for lunch with a friend of Dave, Brent. Siouxsie gave her maximum : we practically drove around 40mph with the warnings from Denver to Frisco. The roads were more beautiful than the others. At the end, we were in the middle of very large areas covered by snow and we let the travel magic happens.
