The next morning, we drove through Grand Tetons to go to Yellowstone National Park after having a great breakfast made with granola and ricotta peas toast in a bakery. Before we left Jackson, a guy came to talk with us about the van because he just bought one of Siouxsie’s sisters. When we arrived in Yellowstone, we went to see Old Faithful, it’s a famous geyser that is very active spitting every 90 minutes. Dave was very excited and Jo couldn’t have been less interested about the phenomenon and we waited surrounded by Asian tourists for a while, one of them was literally leaning on Dave. After that, we visited the hot springs and we saw gorgeous mineral pools with the sunset light. We met a French couple travelling the continent in an old Defender. First, we saw their vehicle in the parking lot and we thought that was really cool, there were license plates from Guyane and South of France. When we were walking on the boardwalk Dave told me that he was sure this guy was the owner and we stared at him until he… opened the door of the old Defender. Dave was right! When we arrived on the spot of the Grand Pramastic Pool, we saw him again with his wife so we went to say hello.

For the night, we went to check in at the campground, we had a quick dinner among mosquitos and went to read our books in the van. The next morning, the 7th of June, we went on the top of Mount Washburn after hiking in the snow for two hours. After that, we went to have dinner in West Yellowstone at Madison Crossing Lounge and it was excellent. We came back to the campground, made a fire, had a last drink, brushed our teeth and went to bed.
